• welcome

Ever since Andreas Broman graduated as Kaospilot, he has been very progressive and goal oriented as an entrepreneur within the marketing and advertising field.

Andreas is currently group CEO at Retail United International – a communication agency within retail that offers everything from analysis and strategy to advertising and instore activation. The agency was launched in January 2015, with the goal of becoming the leading retail agency in the Nordics.

Which team and when did you graduate??

    Team 4. Graduated 1999.

What have you been doing since you graduated as a Kaospilot?

Since my graduation I?ve been in the industry of communication. Starting off at an advertising agency but has also been working as CMO and Sales Director for some major Swedish companies. Since 2015 I am the Group CEO of Retail United International, a Nordic retail marketing company.

What is important for you in your job?

We are only six years old as a company but with nearly 250 employees I would say that the most important task with my job is to create and develop clarity within the whole organisation. Clarity in terms of the company’s vision, our goals, where we are heading but also clarify the responsibility and mandate that lays of each and every one within the company. Our success lays in ability to create an organisation not depending on the management.

What major learnings would you point out from your experience that have shaped you as a leader??

Hard work beats talent. Everyday. Goes for soccer as well. That?s what makes soccer (and the career) so thrilling.

What is your biggest source for inspiration right now?

I have always been interested in, and influenced by, politics. What is happening in our world, how we cope with it and how it affects us as humans are my biggest source of inspiration. If you are up to date with the political world, both global and local, it is so much easier to understand why and how we do things. Today and tomorrow.

What would would be an example of a learning or an experience from your time at Kaospilot that has been important to you?

I would say that the biggest leaning from the Kaospilot is the importance of communication. Communication to understand one another but also the need for communication if you want to achieve a change. And the fact that communication doesn?t need to be perfect. As a leader you don?t need to have all the answers as long as you are honest.

What is a piece of advice that you would like to give future Kaospilot graduates??

Find something that you?re interested in, something you will like for a long time, and try to be the best on it. The feeling of being really good at something beats the most. And it will keep you focused on your career.
